Background

Jolly Good Web began working with Wejo in May 2021, fulfilling small ad hoc projects for their growing website to support their in-house web developer. At this time, Wejo were a fast-growing start-up with over 200 staff and a large marketing team. The nature of the business required us to follow a strict due diligence process, including an NDA and insurances to be in place prior to involvement.

Within a few months we were enlisted to carry out larger projects,  including external integration with Hubspot Enterprise, as well as more frequent updates across their website ahead of their impending Nasdaq listing.

USA Expansion

In November 2021, the work we undertook was focused on Wejo's imminent listing on the NASDAQ. We took full responsibility for the design, build and implementation of an SEC-compliant Investor Relations portal. This project required close collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, constituted of Legal, Investor Relations and Marketing.

Working Closely With Wejo

Following Wejo's successful launch onto the NASDAQ (valued at over $1bn), Jolly Good Web became Wejo’s primary Web Development support, undergoing a successful due diligence process in line with Wejo’s ISMS Policy. We supported Wejo’s marketing team and consulted on several projects, including their Privacy Compliance and Cookie Compliance procedures, as well as proactively highlighting a critical vulnerability in one of Wejo's internal processes to their VP-level stakeholders, ensuring rapid mitigation with a solution we devised. We implemented further process improvements with automations across systems, including HubSpot, Monday.com and Webflow, reducing reliance on manual input to create substantial time savings.

Not Just a Design Agency

We truly can help with almost anything. Other projects conducted on behalf of Wejo included a full Google Analytics GA4 migration, and a site-wide font switch in line with updated brand guidelines.

Winding Down

In May 2023, Wejo's financial position sadly became untenable due to global financial turbulence affecting funding, but we remain proud to have supported Wejo throughout their growth journey and onto the NASDAQ. We remained professional to the end; assisting company leadership and administrators in winding up website operations.

Testimonial

“Jolly Good Web’s support, deep knowledge and proactive attitude was crucial to Wejo’s website development at a time when the company was listing on the stock market and expanding into new territories. They quickly developed our trust and became an indispensable part of the wider Design and Marketing team. A joy to work with, they just ‘got it’ from day one.”
